Community Information Counsellor

Join Achev as a Community Information Counsellor in Mississauga, Ontario, where you will empower newcomers and diverse Canadians with essential settlement support. You'll work in a collaborative environment to provide timely assistance and accurate information.

This role focuses on offering vital information and referrals to newcomers. You will assess clients' needs, conduct research on settlement services, and maintain updated resources. Additionally, you will liaise with community partners and help deliver workshops geared towards newcomers’ integration into Canadian society.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess client needs for settlement support

• Research and compile information on community services

• Develop and update resource materials for clients

• Organize workshops and outreach activities

• Manage sensitive client information in accordance with policies

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or 2+ years in customer service

• Current knowledge of newcomer legislation and policies

• Experience coordinating events and outreach efforts

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

• Valid driver’s license and insurable vehicle for work
