Diversion Coordinator Position AYSP

Become a Diversion Coordinator with Associated Youth Services of Peel (AYSP) and support youth in navigating the justice system. This full-time, hybrid position is focused on community-based service delivery.

In the Diversion Coordinator role at AYSP in Mississauga, ON, you will work directly with youth impacted by the legal system. This permanent, full-time position requires collaboration with families and collateral organizations to create engaging and innovative programming. Your understanding of youth justice will drive evidence-informed practices in your daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate community-based services under youth justice mandates

• Address referrals for judicial alternatives promptly

• Meet with youth and families for support

• Innovate program measures to meet client needs

• Keep accurate documentation for services rendered

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in related fields

• In-depth knowledge of the Youth Criminal Justice Act

• 1-2 years’ experience engaging with youth

• Availability for evening-based work

• Commitment to anti-oppressive practices
