As a Full Stack Developer your primary role will be building web applications working in a team environment with other developers at varying levels of skill. You will be working with a custom Word Press framework designed for modern web applications and build pipelines.

Duties

  • Build new applications
  • Develop & maintain reusable packages and libraries
  • Perform code reviews
  • Work together with front-end developers to put the polish on our applications
  • Work closely with other development teams to ensure seamless integration and production rollout
  • Reduce technical debt by refactoring legacy code and eliminating dead code
  • Commit to personal growth

    • Requirements and Qualifications

  • Expert understanding of modern PHP framework(s), e.g., Laravel or Symfony
  • Adept in Javascript, React, and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind, using build tools like Webpack, NPM, and Yarn
  • Solid grasp of WCAG 2.0+ requirements
  • Comprehension of common Word Press pitfalls, and an appreciation for the need to do Word Press development The Right Way (yes, it’s a thing!)
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on team success
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write good documentation, both in code and corporate Confluence platform
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills
  • Self-starter who can work with a team to accomplish business objectives

    • Bonus skills

  • CI/CD tools, e.g. Git Lab
  • Modern Word Press frameworks, e.g., Roots Bedrock, Themosis, and Continuous Deployment strategies
  • Elasticsearch, MySQL
  • SEO best practices
  • Kubernetes / Docker
  • Cloud infrastructure, e.g. Google Cloud, AWS

    • Experience

  • Completed degree in related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing web-based applications
