Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice seeks a highly qualified Sr. Architect (.NET/Azure) with 15+ years of experience to design and implement cutting‑edge solutions using Azure Dev Ops, .NET Framework, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, , and SQL Server. The role supports hybrid on‑site work in Toronto, ON, Canada and focuses on delivering robust, scalable architectures that align with strategic business goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing scalable, secure architectures with Azure Dev Ops, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET Core.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to integrate  and Entity Framework in application development.
• Providing technical expertise in SQL Server to optimize database performance and maintain data integrity.
• Implementing Dev Ops practices to streamline workflows, automate deployments, and improve system reliability.
• Conducting code reviews to ensure best‑practice adherence and high‑quality software.
• Developing detailed technical documentation for maintenance and future enhancements.
• Overseeing cloud‑based solution implementation via Azure to enhance scalability and reduce costs.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations during design and deployment.
• Mentoring junior team members and fostering continuous learning.
• Monitoring system performance and proactively addressing issues.
• Working with domain experts in the payer industry to tailor solutions.
• Staying updated on emerging technologies and recommending innovative solutions.

Required qualifications:

• Expertise in Azure Dev Ops, .NET Framework, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, , and SQL Server.
• Robust problem‑solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
• Deep understanding of software development life‑cycle processes and Dev Ops methodologies.
• Strong grasp of database management principles and SQL Server optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based architectures and Azure implementation.
• Experience in the payer domain is a plus.

Legal Requirement:

Pay range: CAD 89,550 – 141,500 per year, based on education, experience, and qualifications. Position also eligible for performance‑based bonus and benefits supporting physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
