Position: AI Developer /Integration Engineer
Overview – AI Developer / AI Integration Engineer (Healthcare Focus)
We’re looking for a skilled AI Developer / Integration Engineer to help us build intelligent tools and automate core clinic workflows. This includes developing AI assistants using OpenAI/ChatGPT, automating internal processes like email parsing, ticketing, and fax/PDF renaming, and integrating solutions with platforms like Freshdesk and our RIS/EMR systems.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment, and is excited to help modernize healthcare operations through smart, scalable AI applications.

Responsibilities

Design and implement custom AI tools using OpenAI / ChatGPT API, Lang Chain, or similar platforms

Automate clinic workflows, including intake forms, internal ticketing, reporting summaries, and scheduling

Develop email parsing and automated PDF/fax renaming tools to streamline patient documentation

Integrate solutions with platforms like Freshdesk, CRMs, RIS, or internal web portals

Design and implement machine learning or NLP‑based features where relevant

Build prototypes rapidly, test and iterate with clinic leadership, and support transition to full production

Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code

Participate in code reviews and maintain development documentation

Collaborate with front‑end/back‑end developers or prepare handoffs as needed

Skills

OpenAI, Lang Chain, ChatGPT API (must‑have)

Python, JavaScript, Bash scripting (for automation and APIs)

Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn)

Strong in SQL and general database design

Proficient in R or SAS for statistical analysis and visualization

Knowledge of Apache Spark for big data processing

Experience with C programming a bonus

Comfortable in Unix/Linux environments

Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshdesk) and healthcare‑specific applications is a plus

Ideal Candidate

2–5+ years of experience in AI development or automation

Background in health tech, telehealth, medical imaging, or clinic operations

Startup‑minded: hands‑on, adaptable, and solution‑oriented

Understands the importance of data security and compliance

Excellent communicator and collaborator

Knowledge of PHIPA/HIPAA compliance best practices

Ability to contribute to UX flow and user‑friendly interface logic

Job Types: Full‑time, Fixed‑term contract, Freelance contract – length: 12 months

Pay: $28.00–$40.00 per hour
