17 Data Engineer

Duration: 12 months.

Must have hands on IFRS
17 experience with strong data analysis and insurance domain knowledge.

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Python and PySpark, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Design and implement data engineering and ETL pipelines using PySpark.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
• Mentor and guide engineers through technical leadership, code reviews, and best practices.
• Lead technical direction including architecture, design, and implementation of software solutions.
• Work closely with Product Owners to define and prioritize business and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams and specifications.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards and high quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops and Operations teams for smooth deployment and application support.
• Implement Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipeline.
• Drive technical innovation by researching and recommending new technologies and solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues to ensure high quality software delivery.

• Hands on IFRS
  17 experience.
• Strong expertise in data analysis, SQL, C#, MVC, WPF, Python, and PySpark.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Leadership experience: mentoring, coaching, and technical decision making.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross functional teams.
• Strong technical decision making, task prioritization, and resource management skills.

• Exposure to Dataiku.
• Experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project needs.
