Android Developer

Solidy is looking for a mid‑senior Android Developer who can build and maintain functional applications across Android‑based devices and help us attract our target audience. The candidate will design, develop and test Android applications for a vast number of diverse Android devices and their integration with back‑end services.

• Design and build advanced applications for Android devices on the Android platform.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Maintain code integrity, quality, organization, and automatization.
• Work on bug fixing and improve application performance.
• Design application updates over the period.
• Explore trending applications in the market and implement new technologies to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Work closely with project managers in an agile environment.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 3‑6 years of Android OS development experience.
• Jetpack Compose (layouts:
  Column, Row, Box, Constraint Layout; modifier, compose animations; design system in Compose; text and typography in Compose; side effects; Composition Local and Navigation).
• Experience with Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Knowledge of Android SDK and different versions of Android.
• Understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
• Knowledge of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Excellent knowledge of Russian.
• Good time‑management skills.
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize personal workload.
