Software Engineer Infrastructure

Position: Chime Software Engineer for Infrastructure
Become a key contributor to Chime's Data Infra team as a Software Engineer focused on infrastructure. This role combines deployment layers and storage solutions in dynamic workflows.

You will be part of a dedicated team within Chime’s Infrastructure Engineering. This generalist role entails building and maintaining the backbone that supports Data Engineering, including deployment infrastructures like Airflow and Flink, as well as managing DynamoDB and RDS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design efficient and reliable systems, ensuring scalability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain deployment infrastructure for data workflows

• Manage DynamoDB and RDS core storage technologies

• Write infrastructure-as-code using Terraform

• Drive reliability improvements and operational hygiene

• Participate in lifecycle stages: design, build, test, and deploy

Requirements:

• 2–4 years in software engineering focused on infrastructure

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Kubernetes

• Familiarity with AWS managed database services

• Strong programming skills in Python or similar

• Experience with data pipelines is a plus
