Mainframe Developer COBOL

Position: Mainframe Developer with COBOL Experience
Join an exciting long-term project in Mississauga, ON as a Mainframe Developer. Your skills in COBOL, JCL, and VSAM will be highly valued onsite.

This position is open to candidates with a minimum of 5 years of mainframe experience. You'll be responsible for developing solutions for production issues, writing JCLs and SORT scripts, and attending agile meetings. This role also requires strong communication skills as you'll work closely with business stakeholders and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide solutions for resolving production job failures

• Develop JCL, SORT, and ICETOO for batch jobs

• Assist in implementing new project requirements

• Conduct investigations on critical production problems

• Create and manage VSAM datasets for data processing

Requirements:

• 5+ years mainframe experience required

• Proficient in COBOL, IMS, and DB2

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Git, IBM Z Developer

• Effective in handling VSAM datasets and data logic

• Participation in agile development processes
