Head of Application Development

Position: Head of Application Development at Citi
Citi is seeking a Head of Application Development at Senior Vice President level to lead engineering for high-availability systems in the Institutional Services Group. This hybrid role combines technical leadership and hands-on engineering excellence.

In this pivotal role, you will architect and oversee the delivery of enterprise-grade CRM and financial platforms for global institutional clients. You’ll mentor a team of over 20 engineers while ensuring application quality, stability, and functionality across numerous clients. Your work will drive migration to microservices architectures and automate deployment processes for maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture of CRM and financial applications

• Design microservices with Java and Spring Boot

• Own engineering roadmap for applications

• Automate release pipeline for zero-downtime

• Liaise with stakeholders on engineering solutions

Requirements:

• 10+ years in CRM application development

• Proven leadership of large engineering teams

• Expertise in Java and Spring ecosystem

• Experience with Kafka and message-oriented middleware

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture
