Citi is looking for a Java Developer (Apps Dev Intermediate Programmer Analyst - C11) to join the technology team and contribute to the development and enhancement of the Citi1

Credit platform. In this hands-on engineering role, you will design, build, and maintain Java-based applications that directly support critical financial services operations. Working with a level of autonomy and collaborating across technology and business teams, you will play a meaningful part in delivering robust, high-quality software solutions at scale.## Responsibilities
* Build and enhance new features on the Citi1

Credit platform using Core Java 8, Spring Framework, and RESTful APIs, contributing directly to platform capability and stability.
* Design and develop application components across the full development lifecycle — from analysis and construction through to testing, implementation, and ongoing operational support.
* Identify application vulnerabilities and security gaps, and implement fixes through structured debugging and testing practices.
* Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support efficient data access and application performance.
* Integrate continuous integration pipelines using tools such as Maven, Jenkins, and Sonar Qube to maintain code quality and streamline delivery.
* Consult with business users and technology teams to diagnose issues, recommend engineering solutions, and support deployed systems.
* Assess risk considerations when making technical decisions, ensuring solutions meet compliance standards and uphold the reliability of client-facing systems.##

Required Qualifications & Skills
* 2+ years of hands-on development experience in Java/J2EE, including practical application in financial services or comparable technology environments.
* Proficiency in Core Java 8 and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Core, Spring MVC, and Spring JDBC, with applied experience in JDBC, JPA, and ORM frameworks.
* Experience building and consuming RESTful web APIs, with solid understanding of JSON-based data exchange.
* Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and optimize queries, stored procedures, indexes, and triggers.
* Familiarity with build and CI tools including Ant or Maven, Jenkins, Sonar Qube, and JUnit for unit and integration testing.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze systems, identify solutions, and deliver results under pressure while managing shifting priorities and deadlines.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant technical discipline.##
