Afternoon Dispatcher; Transportation Administration and Services

Through flexible delivery models, Ekkinox leverages the warehouse operations of Ekkinox Technical & Logistics Services or deploys Ekkinox teams on-site at client facilities. The capabilities of both Ekkinox affiliates cover the full logistics lifecycle, from warehousing and transportation to freight handling, packaging, kitting, and final shipment coordination.

• Coordinate afternoon pickups and deliveries to support service commitments and linehaul schedules
• Dispatch drivers efficiently using available equipment, customer requirements, and routing constraints
• Monitor service performance, address exceptions, and escalate issues when needed
• Communicate with customers regarding ETAs, changes, delays and appointment updates
• Ensure accurate shipment documentation, scan or record PODs, and maintain clear operational notes
• Support dock and terminal coordination, including door planning and end-of-shift handover
• Follow safety, compliance and operational procedures consistently
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• 3-5 years of dispatch experience in a LTL transportation environment (Strong preference)
• Understanding of pickup and delivery operations, appointment freight and service expectations
• Comfortable working with dispatch or transportation software (AS400 is an asset, not required)
• Capability to perform moderate physical tasks and adapt to various work environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, calm under pressure, and able to make quick discussions
• Strong communication skills with a professional customer service approach
• Solid computer skills (MS Office, email and basic reporting)

• Afternoon shift, full-time permanent position
• Shift start time is 2:00 PM - may require some flexibility to start earlier or later
• Salary $50,000 - $58,000
• Weekly pay by direct deposit
