We are seeking an experienced Oil Reception Technician with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and managing incoming crude oil and petroleum products at the reception facility. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating efficiently with drivers, operators, and other team members to ensure smooth and safe operations.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming oil shipments, including checking documentation and product quality
- Inspect oil tanks, pipelines, and equipment for leaks, damage, or irregularities
- Operate valves, pumps, and gauges to control flow during unloading
- Monitor product quality and sample oil for testing as required
- Maintain accurate records of all oil receipts, volumes, and quality parameters
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational protocols
- Report any operational issues or safety concerns promptly
- Assist in routine maintenance and cleaning of the reception equipment
- Collaborate with truck drivers, dispatch, and other personnel to coordinate deliveries
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Oil Reception Technician or in a related oilfield role
- Familiarity with oil handling, tank farms, and petroleum products
- Ability to operate pumps, valves, and basic mechanical equipment
- Strong attention to safety and environmental regulations
- Comfortable performing physical tasks and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., H2S Alive, WHMIS, First Aid)
- Experience with automated monitoring systems or SCADA
- Forklift or heavy equipment operation certification
- Knowledge of environmental compliance and spill response procedures
