OverviewThe Transportation Manager contributes to the Pepsi Co Beverage team’s success by optimizing fleet utilization and ensuring on time deliveries. This person manages a team of non-unionized associates, unionized Transport Drivers, a large group of common carriers and oversees Transport operations in 15 Ontario locations.

ResponsibilitiesOversee the organization and management of the transport departmentEnsures equipment and individual compliance with all environmental, Department Of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Health and Safety regulationsEnsures Market is meeting or exceeding expected service levels (Ship To Schedule)Sets financial and individual targets aligned with Annual Operating Plan objectives and Transport standardsManages performance standards to support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory compliance, safety and transport standardsCommunicates effectively with other operations groups in support of overall business goalsDrives world class Transport practices throughout supply chain through education and influence.QualificationsBachelor’s degree requiredFive plus years transportation and logistics experience preferredValid Driver's License requiredStrong coaching and development skillsExperience in consumer packaged products or similar unionized industry preferredAbility to develop Standard Operating ProceduresStrong employee relations, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skillsDemonstrated computer proficiencyDemonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environmentAbility to demonstrate strong cross-functional collaborationAbility to manage Cost Center performance activitiesWhy work at Pepsi Co
