Summary Overview
The Aircraft Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for supervising the cleaning of the aircraft interiors to ensure they adhere to strict sanitation and safety standards. This role involves leading and managing a team of aircraft cleaners, offering training and support as needed. The Aircraft Cleaning Supervisor is also responsible for inspecting aircraft post-cleaning to ensure the quality of work meets airline and regulatory guidelines.
Additional duties include managing the inventory of cleaning supplies, coordinating with airline staff, and ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed on schedule.
- Supervise a team of aircraft cleaners
- Verify all cleaning procedures adhere to aviation standards and safety regulations
- Train new staff in aircraft cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning equipment
- Inspect aircraft cabins for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues
- Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stocks
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules to minimize aircraft downtime
- Conduct regular quality checks to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Liaise with airline representatives and airport staff for cleaning requirements
- Handle and report lost and found items according to company and airport policies
- Provide feedback and performance evaluations for team members
- Respond to emergency cleaning situations as required
- Employ problem solving abilities for issue resolution
- Clean side by side with the team to ensure aircraft cleaning tasks are completed
- Maintain records of cleaning activities and schedules
- Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to the cleaning team
- Work under pressure to meet internal and external targets or deadlines
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for any special cleaning needs
- Exemplify Prime Flight customer service and safety standards
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Minimum of 1year of supervisory experience
- At least 1year of experience in hospitality or aircraft cleaning services
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices such as iPads/Tablets, computers, and mobile devices
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in‑person and through electronic means
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal—if applicable)
- Work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
