Position: truck driver, truck-trailer )
Responsibilities   Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Coach colleagues on current methods or work techniques.
Demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations.
Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy.
Load and unload goods.
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security of goods.
Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
Utilise trip recorder (on‑board computer) and maintain travel records.
Handle cross‑border transportation and extended overnight travel as required.
