Your role guarantees timely shipment releases and accurate duty assessments.
As a Customs Associate, you will be responsible for preparing and processing documentation in line with customs procedures. This role includes classifying goods using HS codes while maintaining up-to-date profiles for clients and their vendors. You will also communicate shipment status updates and resolve inquiries quickly, underlining your vital role in logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare documentation to comply with Canadian customs regulations
• Ensure timely payment of taxes and duties for shipments
• Classify goods and maintain detailed client profiles
• Submit customs entries to avoid delays and fees
• Liaise with authorities to facilitate clearance
Requirements:
• Solid understanding of customs regulations in Canada
• Experience with tariff codes and classifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to maintain records accurately
• Flexibility to travel as required
