Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role for a transportation and logistics professional who understands both the operational and commercial sides of the business.

The Manager, Transportation & Logistics will oversee a department responsible for coordinating freight movement, supporting revenue goals, managing carrier and customer relationships, leading team performance, and maintaining a high standard of service. The work touches multiple areas of the supply chain, including domestic transportation, cross-border freight, FTL, LTL, transload, intermodal movement, 3PL activity, load brokering, and dispatch coordination.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants more than a maintenance role. The successful candidate will be expected to look at the department with a business owner’s mindset: where service can improve, where costs can be controlled, where carrier relationships can be strengthened, where reporting can become more useful, and where the team can be better supported.

Position Description

The Manager, Transportation & Logistics will be responsible for leading the day-to-day and longer-term performance of the department.

  • Overseeing logistics and trucking operations across domestic, cross-border, FTL, LTL, transload, and intermodal activity

  • Managing workload balance, vacation planning, attendance matters, and other people-related requirements
  • Providing leadership that keeps the team focused, informed, accountable, and supported
  • Handling time-sensitive priorities with professionalism and sound judgment

  • Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or a closely related industry
