Join Ornge as a Communications Officer specializing in Flight Planning and Following. Responsible for coordinating patient transport across Ontario, ensuring effective communication for optimal care.
As an essential member of the Ornge team, you will liaise with pilots, paramedics, and healthcare professionals to facilitate safe patient transport. This role requires responsiveness to emergency calls and effective coordination in a dynamic environment, along with strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with flight planners and healthcare providers
• Respond rapidly and efficiently to emergency transport requests
• Utilize interpersonal skills with tact and compassion
• Analyze issues and create effective solutions
• Work proficiently in emergency service settings
Requirements:
• Education in aviation management/operations preferred
• Minimum two years of aviation or dispatch experience
• Standard First-Aid/CPR and AED Level C Certificate
• Restricted Operator Certificate – Aeronautical (ROC-A)
• Technical knowledge of aviation systems is an asset
