Compensation
Competitive compensation package in the range of $65,000–$75,000*, commensurate with experience.

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Customs Brokerage Supervisor to oversee Air and Courier Low Value shipment operations within a high‑impact team. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited for an individual who is comfortable balancing daily operational responsibilities with team oversight, compliance, and process coordination in a fast‑paced customs brokerage environment.
A strong emphasis of the role is CARM‑related experience, including onboarding, filing voluntary entries through the CARM portal, and coordinating with surety providers regarding CARM bond requirements.
Position Description
Supervise and support day‑to‑day customs brokerage operations related to Air & Courier Low Value shipments
Ensure timely and accurate customs clearance processing in compliance with CBSA regulations and internal procedures
Provide leadership, guidance, and operational support to a team of customs professionals
Manage CARM onboarding activities and support ongoing CARM compliance initiatives
Prepare and/or oversee voluntary entries submitted through the CARM portal, coordinate with surety providers regarding customs bonds and related compliance matters
Review customs documentation for completeness and accuracy
Support operational process improvements and workflow efficiencies
Act as a point of escalation for customs‑related operational issues and shipment exceptions
Maintain strong communication with internal departments, customers, carriers, and government agencies
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience within customs brokerage or freight forwarding industry
Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
Strong working knowledge of CBSA regulations, customs clearance procedures, and low‑value shipment processing
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize within a deadline‑driven environment
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities
Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
Ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced operational environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
Education
Customs Certified Specialist (CCS) designation is an asset.
