Highway Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of service.

A minimum of 3 years of safe driving experience, a clean abstract, and a CVOR are required. This is regional work in Ontario and Quebec, and all shifts are overnight hours.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks and other heavy equipment to transport freight to designated locations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.

Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed.

Skills

Strong commercial driving skills with a valid AZ Licence.

Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.

Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

This position requires "slip seat" trucks, no permanently assigned units.
