Overview
We are looking for a Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative (CSR) with expertise in Western Canada and Cross-Border freight operations to join our growing team. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless communication, efficient logistics management, and superior customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in dispatching and customer service within the transportation industry.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and dispatch cross-border shipments, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to monitor, track, and document shipments accurately.
Collaborate with 3PL providers, drivers, and internal operations teams to resolve delivery delays, route issues, and other logistical challenges.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone and email.
Maintain and update shipment data, ensuring accuracy in all customer records and operational systems.
Analyze client needs and provide tailored solutions for freight logistics to improve overall service efficiency.
Manage cross-border documentation to ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
Resolve customer complaints or escalations effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.
Experience
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Dispatching or Customer Service roles within the transportation and logistics industry.
Solid understanding of Western Canada and Cross-Border freight operations.
Proficiency in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to monitor and manage shipments.
Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong phone and email etiquette.
High attention to detail and proficiency in data entry.
Experience with Syte Line software or similar systems is a strong asset.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
