035421 Transportation Operator (Open)

Key Responsibilities

SHUNT DRIVER DUTIES:

Operate shunt truck to move trailers within the yard

Communicate with shipping personnel to ensure efficient movement of trailers

Report any issues or damages to trailers

FORKLIFT OPERATOR DUTIES:

Efficient and safe operation of forklift truck

Inspect, load and unload trucks

Move products and materials in the warehouse

Act as back-up to winding lift truck operator for quick set-up and operation of winders

SHIPPING/RECEIVING DUTIES:

Receive and track shipments

Load and unload shipments in delivery trucks

Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials, packing boxes and placing orders in delivery area

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and contribute a safe and clean work environment

Follow safety regulations

Other duties as assigned

Education And Experience

Possesses at least 3 years of relevant experience

Preferably AZ or DZ license, but not required

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent customer service skills.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with customers and colleagues at delivery points.

Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Range
The pay for this position is $26.39 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
