Job Summary
The Warehouse Receiver will ensure the accurate and seamless reception and processing of incoming shipments. The Receiver must load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repeated heavy lifting, and use necessary equipment such as a lift truck or forklift. Other responsibilities include inspecting incoming shipments to verify content and quality, assisting walk‑in customers with order fulfillment and paperwork, and understanding how this position impacts other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of incoming items.

Inventory management and vendor relations with shipping companies are essential functions.

Duties And Responsibilities

Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking

Match product with purchase orders

Inspect product to ensure usability and saleable condition

Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required

Sort and distribute incoming shipments

Perform quality audits of the condition of received goods prior to signing off

Report discrepancies to immediate supervisors

Prepare receiving reports through ERP

Ensure shipments contain proper documentation and that item lists are complete if multiple items per shipment

Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments, or deliveries

Assist walk‑in customers with order fulfillment and paperwork

Requirements

Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred

High school diploma or GED required

Forklift certification preferred, with demonstrated ability to safely operate material‑handling equipment

Computer literate, including working knowledge of Excel and email systems

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Basic math skills, including ability to weigh and measure items accurately

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and good organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills

Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and positive team attitude

Working Conditions

Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals

Overtime may be required

lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. may be required

Work performed in a combination of environments

May be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils

Position Details

Full‑time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Onsite)

Hourly rate from $21.00 to $23.00
