NOTE:
THIS SHIFT IS FROM 3:00PM TO 11:30PM
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate all activities for the assigned accounts.
Assist and conduct daily shift meetings.
Team leads are the subject matter experts in their functional areas.
Acting as the Super Users (WMS):
Training, Re-training Associates on WMS transactions and helping troubleshoot WMS issues
Communicating information and answering associates’ questions related to High Jump RF Scan Devices
Provide front line support for Warehouse system
Serve as a Liaison between IT Team and Operations
On the floor:
Leading warehouse associates, making sure that the Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions are being followed and the Key Performance Indicators are achieved
Ensure staff lunch and breaks schedules are followed.
Provide feedback to management regarding employee performance.
Ensures adherence to established safety practices.
Proactively bring to the attention of management any operational issues as they develop and assist in finding resolution.
Assists in the labour planning for their department (meeting the productivity standards)
Ensure work functions are handed out to all staff timely so there is no downtime (meeting the productivity standards)
Responsible for the allocation and proper use of equipment such as RF guns.
Proactively informs management to orders supplies as required
Liaise with internal departments such as Customer Service, Transportation, Shipping and Receiving and Inventory to investigate and resolve operational and client issues
Demonstrate knowledge of current ongoing customer requirements, or new client set up to meet customer expectations and Service Level Agreements
Enforce workplace rules.
Performs administrative tasks as they relate to the operation.
Responsible for building security / door check and arm.
Participates in different projects as requested.
Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
2-3 years Team Lead experience
Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment is preferred
Knowledge of distribution operating systems, WMS
Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to drive for results
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage employee conflict to asuccessful resolution.
Ability to assess talent and build development plans
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members
Ability to proactively plan and organize work to accomplish goals
Knowledge and experience using MS Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook
