Supervisor – Warehouse Operations
The Supervisor works in a fast‑paced environment and is responsible for coordinating, directing, and supervising warehouse employees to meet or exceed efficiency, quality, and safety goals. This includes order picking, warehousing, and shipping.
Responsibilities
Supervises, directs, and guides warehouse leads and employees.
Manages employees in warehouse operations in accordance with the organization’s policies, practices, ESA standards, and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Coordinates workflow and staffing scheduling for assigned employees based on inbound and outbound needs.
Utilizes AS400 system, database applications, spreadsheets, and forecast information.
Ensures loads are completed and loaded accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensures that organizational labor efficiency goals are met and maintained; analyzes information and implements changes to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
Provides supervisory responsibilities such as training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
Five or more years of experience in a leadership capacity in a warehouse environment; union management experience strongly preferred.
Relationship skills that work across teams and functions, excellent communication skills, ability to compromise, and a desire to work with diverse skill sets across the organization.
Leadership ability that improves the team, drives change and results through influence and focus, and demonstrated expertise in the field.
Analytical skills capable of synthesizing and prioritizing a large volume of information and making clear, well‑reasoned decisions.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting company and customer requirements and deadlines.
Able to analyze and interpret reports, graphs, and other data.
Microsoft Office (intermediate or above).
