About the Company
We're partnering with a global leader in the industrial parts and equipment space to hire an Operations Supervisor for a small but highly visible branch operation. This is not a large corporate distribution center with hundreds of employees. This is a hands‑on leadership role within a 15–25 person operation where everyone rolls up their sleeves and contributes.
About the RoleYou'll work closely with the Branch Manager and be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the warehouse and branch operations. If someone calls in sick, you jump in. If inventory is off, you investigate. If a process breaks down, you help fix it. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems in real time, and leading by example.
Responsibilities- Oversee the warehouse and daily operations, including:
- Receiving and put‑away
- Inventory management and inventory accuracy
- Cycle counts and discrepancy investigations
- Picking, packing, and shipping
- Materials management
- Preventing inventory loss and maintaining process discipline
- Workflow planning and productivity improvements
- Coordinating with purchasing and the Branch Manager to keep operations running smoothly
- Managing payroll and administrative duties as required
- Maintaining health and safety standards
- Lead and supervise a team of approximately 15–25 employees
- Set daily priorities and provide clear direction
- Hold employees accountable to performance expectations
- Train and mentor new and existing employees
- Foster a culture of teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement
You may currently be a:
- Operations Supervisor
- Warehouse Supervisor
- Warehouse Manager
- Distribution Supervisor
- Operations Manager in a smaller facility
- Site Supervisor
The ideal candidate has experience running a warehouse from A to Z, including:
- Receiving
- Inventory management
- Inventory accuracy
- Cycle counts
- Picking and shipping
- Warehouse workflow optimization
- Safety and compliance
Experience in any of the following environments is highly valued:
- Aerospace
- Automotive
- Industrial manufacturing
- Parts distribution
- ISO‑certified or highly regulated environments
Experience with any of the following is considered a strong asset:
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Epicor / Profit
21 - RF scanners
- Microsoft Office & Excel
- Payroll systems
- $65k Salary
