We are hiring a Warehouse Associate in Mississauga, Ontario!

Job Description

This contract Warehouse Associate role supports a large, fast-paced distribution facility by performing order picking and general warehouse duties using walkie forklifts and manual handling. The position focuses on safe and efficient movement of products, including operating walkies for order picking and assisting with manual unloading of trucks when required. The role starts with structured safety and equipment training and may be assessed for extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate walkie forklifts to perform accurate and efficient order picking in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and verify products according to work orders and inventory requirements.
  • Manually load and unload trucks, including hand bombing products when needed, while consistently lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate fully in the first week of safety training, orientation, and walkie training.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and contribute to a safe, well-ordered warehouse environment.
  • Handle products and equipment carefully to minimize damage and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Communicate effectively in English with supervisors and team members to clarify tasks, resolve issues, and support workflow.
  • Adhere to established productivity targets and quality standards for picking, loading, and unloading.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes and high-visibility vests, at all times while on the floor.
  • Work assigned afternoon shifts consistently and manage time effectively around scheduled breaks and lunches.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating walkie forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency using RF scanners for order picking and inventory-related tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform manual material handling, including hand bombing trucks.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution facility.
  • Strong focus on safety and willingness to follow all safety procedures and training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English to understand instructions and safety information.
  • Reliability and punctuality for afternoon shifts from 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the medical or healthcare industry distribution is an asset.
  • Prior warehouse or logistics experience in a large distribution facility is an advantage.
  • Comfort working within structured performance and progression planning frameworks.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills to support growth into other departments over time.
