As a Material Handler, your job is to provide excellent service to our stores and customers by performing all aspects of material handling including unloading, loading, warehousing, and staging of merchandise throughout the Distribution Center using manual and/or mechanical means. If you like a fast-paced, physical position that gets you up and moving, this could be the position for you!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure a safe work environment by keeping safety a top prioritySort, warehouse, stage, and load/unload cartons in an accurate, safe, and efficient mannerUnload inbound freight/load outbound freightSeparate and load freight on unpacking linesStage outbound freight in shippingReceive and warehouse incoming merchandise into module racks and floor locationsPull merchandise from racks or move merchandise to open areas for pulling and distribution in replenishment departmentReplenish and condense merchandise into most effective locations for order pulling in replenishment departmentOperate manual and/or mechanical equipment in a safe and effective manner and maintain proper certificationsEnsure production and quality standards are metBe open to performing other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma, GED or some high schoolAdaptable to change by working within different departmentsAbility to maintain an excellent attendance and work recordMust be 18 or olderAbility to operate manual and automated pallet jack equipment as wellMust be adaptable to change by working within different departmentsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend and stack cartons for the duration of the shift, up to 12 hours at a timeStand for long periods of time and walk continuouslyPull merchandise from multiple levels of shelving or move merchandise as neededClimb stairs and perform work at platform heights up to 60 feetLift and carry up to 50lbs. Specific weight requirements may vary within each department.For Material Handler positions, hiring will be based on need – however, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and there may not be an opening immediately available when you apply. For all other jobs, applications will be accepted until the Apply Before date (if applicable), but may be extended based on applicant volume.
