Join our growing team as a Senior Operations Supervisor and take a hands-on leadership role in driving warehouse performance, employee engagement, and operational excellence. This position requires a strong presence on the warehouse floor, managing workflow, assigning work, supporting day, afternoon, and night operations, and providing leadership across both our Mississauga and Etobicoke facility.
Your primary responsibility would be toleadand oversee daily warehouse operations by managing workflow, assigning work, and ensuring operational, safety, quality, and customer serviceobjectivesare achieved. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong presence on the warehouse floor, providing direction and support to teams across multiple shifts andsites.
OperationsLead warehouse operations through a strong and consistent on-floor presence.
Direct, coordinate, andmonitordaily operational activities to ensure productivity, efficiency, service quality, and safetyobjectivesare achieved.
Manage workflow and labor allocation across departments to support changing operational demands.
Assign work, prioritize tasks, and provide real-time direction to employees and teamleadsthroughout each shift.
Monitor operational performance and take immediate corrective action to resolve bottlenecks, productivity concerns, or service disruptions.
Support operations across both the Mississauga and Etobicoke facilities as business needs require.
Ensuretheapplicationofmethods,systems,andprocedurestomanagehumanresources,financialandmaterialresourcesinaproductiveandprofitablewayincompliancewithlaws,regulations,andcorporativeprocedures.
Ensurerespectforpolicies,procedures,standards,andregulationsinforceinwarehouses(OHS,BRCGSstandards,HACCP,etc.).
Work ManagementPlan,organize,direct,andcontrolalloperationstoachievetheobjectivesspecifictothewarehouse.
Provide leadership and oversight for employees working across multiple shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
Maintain a regular and visible presence in operational areas to support employees, address concerns, and promote accountability.
Coach, mentor, and develop leads, and warehouse employees through direct observation and interaction on the floor.
Ensurethemaintenanceanddevelopmentofworkteamsapplyinghumanresourcesprocesses,suchasstaffing,integrationandtransferofemployees,skills development,performance management,laborrelationsandhealthandsafety.
Mobilizeandempowertheorganizationtoensuretheachievementofobjectivesandreportregularlyandtoadequatestaffontheresults.
Support the Operations Leader in Information System Management, Budgeting,Sales, Customer Service and Equipment and Building Maintenanace.
Aspartofitsfunctions,participateandcollaboratecloselywithlocal,professional,civicandcommercialassociations.
Carryoutallotherrelatedtasks.
TRAININGANDPROFESSIONALEXPERIENCESecondary study diplomais mandatory. Post secondary diploma in a related field or a combination of relevant education, training and experience may be considered.
Minimumofthree(3) to five (5) yearsofexperienceinthefieldof warehousing or distribution.
Experience in multitemperature environment is considered an asset.
Proven experience managing, leading, and supervising staff.
SKILLS REQUIREDStrong supervisory and operational leadership skills with the ability tomanage teams through active floor presence and engagement.
Ability to develop strong teams while managing employees on multiple shifts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write and verbally communicate to a variety of audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively andmaintainpositive working relationships.
Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
Ability toestablishpriorities among competing demands to organize and manage multiple projects/activities effectively and efficiently, while meeting deadlines.
Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of work.
Knowledge of procedures, quality standards, laws, and regulations such as OHS, BRCGSstandards, HACCP, etc. is essential.
Knowledge of diverse warehouse management systems is considered an asset.
REQUIREMENTSFORHIRINGExcellent spokenandwritten
English is mandatory, and French would be considered an asset.
General knowledge in healthandsafetystandards in a warehouse environment.
Frequent walking throughout warehouse facilities and extended periods of standing are required.
Must be able toworka flexible schedule and provide leadership support across day, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts based on operational requirements.
Must be able to travel regularly between the Mississauga and Etobicoke locations.
