Pearl River Foods is a growing company within the Poultry Processing Industry that was established in 2018. This is a small privately held company with a family culture. We produce product for some of the biggest names in the poultry industry, such Raisin Canes, Popeyes, and Zaxby's. Due to the rapid growth over the years, we are seeking strong individuals to be apart of the family.

Salary Range: 55k - 75k - Depending on experience.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Inventory Accountant located in Carthage, MS. The Inventory Accountant will oversee inventory management activities, prepare, and support accurate inventory reporting. Responsibilities include tracking inventory levels, reconciling discrepancies, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze inventory data and support decision-making processes.

• Maintain and update inventory records
• Perform regular audits of inventory levels
• Analyze inventory costs and identify variances
• Prepare inventory reports for management review
• Coordinate physical inventory counts
• Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse departments
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Monitor and report on slow-moving and obsolete inventory items
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures
• Review and process inventory adjustments
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to inventory management systems

• Strong expertise in Inventory Management and Analytical Skills
• Solid understanding and experience in Finance-related tasks
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex data
• Proficient in inventory management software and accounting systems
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
