Service Porter

Position SummaryThe Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the maintenance and service of vehicles.
Job Responsibilities- Greet customers when arriving in service and determine their service needs
- Assist with service write-ups and tagging if customer cars and trucks
- Inspect the vehicle for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicles to the customer, and report any damages immediately
- Remove vehicle protective coverings and prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
- Transport customers and dealership personal as needed
- Perform deliveries as required
- Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving unites as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards
- Return vehicle keys to the appropriate service consultant
- Pick up vehicles from and deliver vehicles to storage
- Pick up parts from the Parts Department
- Test batteries of customer vehicles in service drive
- Maintain buildings and grounds as needed
- Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customer, co-workers and suppliers
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
- 6-12 months of previous work experience (preferred)
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle machinery safely
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Professional appearance
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Exposure to inclement weather
- Ability to operate an automobile
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bending
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Starting at $14.00 per hour
