What kind of work does a Ford technician handle?
Diagnosis and repair across the full Ford lineup — gas, hybrid, plug‑in hybrid and EV — including warranty, recall and customer‑pay repairs done to factory spec, with clear documentation for advisors and customers.
What are the shop hours and schedule like?
Ask the service director about the current schedule for this role.
The biggest difference between dealership technician jobs and turning wrenches at an independent shop or oil‑change chain is the kind of work that comes through the door. A franchised Ford dealership’s service department handles factory warranty work , recall campaigns and scheduled Ford maintenance alongside customer‑pay repairs — work done to Ford’s own procedures rather than aftermarket guesswork. If you want to go deep on one lineup instead of a little of everything, a career in our service center is where that happens.
