Job OverviewAs a Restaurant Manager, you will support the restaurant to drive business success. You will take ownership, solve problems, seek help, and guide others.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure customers have a great guest experience by keeping products hot, fresh, and delicious.
- Supervise and train employees in the restaurant.
- Maintain the restaurant to company standards, ensuring grounds, equipment, and the overall facility are well maintained.
- Ensure employees are clean and neat in appearance.
- Demonstrate that customer needs are the highest priority.
- Maintain food safety, quality, and accuracy of orders.
- Resolve customer complaints quickly while maintaining positive customer relations.
- Ensure cleanliness of the property, including restrooms, floors, coolers, kitchen, front counter, back-office, dining area, fountain area, sidewalk entrance, etc.
- Act as a role model within established store decorum guidelines as defined in training.
- Observe food quality, service, cleanliness, food presentation levels throughout the day and provide coaching, direction, and assistance as needed.
- Ensure all employees uphold strict food safety standards.
- Navigate customer complaints with grace and, if unresolved, elevate complaints to the District Manager, QSR.
- Properly rotate and store perishable products to maintain freshness, avoid cross contamination, and minimize spoilage.
- Train each new employee in the existence and proper use of the Open Door Policy.
- Submit maintenance requests in Mpulse in a timely manner.
- Coach and develop sales associates and assistant manager.
- Conduct performance reviews on a regular basis and recommend merit increases for subordinate employees when applicable.
- Conduct job‑specific performance interviews with employees as needed to improve job performance within guidelines defined in training.
- Assist with recruiting efforts, guide interested persons on how to complete the application process, conduct interviews, and track active applicant progress to ensure new hires complete onboarding.
- Staff the store with the required number of employees to operate at budgeted hours without overtime or over‑budget exceptions.
- Control inventory to attain and maintain inventory shortage performance (at less than 1.0% short to merchandise sales) monthly.
- Compile, input, reconcile, and balance each component of the daily close‑out paperwork and complete end‑of‑the‑day accounting by 8:00 am.
- Conduct a minimum of one cash audit weekly.
- Strictly follow and enforce the Vendor Check In policy and personally count all merchandise received into the store.
- Ensure up‑to‑date menus and promotional marketing are executed in a timely manner.
- Monitor and proactively minimize perishable food waste.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel up to 80%.
