Senior Project Engineer

We are currently recruiting for multiple Senior Project Engineer's to join our team in Canberra and lead the delivery of a major long-term project.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be a trusted leader across the project, responsible for driving engineering outcomes, coordinating complex construction activities, and supporting the delivery of a high‑profile project within our portfolio. Working closely with the Construction Manager and broader delivery team, you will oversee planning, design coordination, procurement, subcontractor management, and ensure best‑in‑class quality, safety, and commercial performance.

• Lead planning, design, and technical coordination across allocated packages.
• Manage subcontractor performance, scope, and program delivery.
• Oversee procurement strategies and contribute to tender evaluations.
• Monitor project progress, cost control, risk, and change management.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and development to project engineers and site engineers.
• Ensure Lendlease’s high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability are achieved.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

• Ideally 8+ years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably on large-scale building construction projects.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale commercial, defence, health, education, or complex building projects.
• Exceptional stakeholder and subcontractor management skills.
• Degree qualification in a relevant field of study (Engineering, Construction Management etc).
• Clear and articulate communication skills coupled with an ability to manage stakeholders, both internally and externally.
