Location: Wesson
Fiber Splicing Instructor (Contract)
Copiah-Lincoln Community College Workforce Education is seeking a contract Fiber Splicing Instructor. The instructor will organize and deliver structured learning for students and reports to the Dean of Workforce Education and the Workforce Program Coordinator.
Supervisor Responsibilities- None
- Plan and provide in-person instruction and proper skills operations to Fiber Splicing Program students on communication network basics, safety, infrastructure basics, cable types, hardware and closures, cable placement, fiber optic fusion splicing, and connectivity.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate student learning activities.
- Serve as a positive role model for students, demonstrating caring, respect, collegiality, ethical behavior, ethical reasoning, and strong work ethic, and provide constructive feedback.
- Oversee safe operation and use of equipment by students, ensuring compliance with company/college policy and standards.
- Complete all necessary documentation for each student, including attendance forms and training records.
- Maintain current best industry practices by attending at least one annual refresher training course held by Corning each year of instruction.
- Collaborate with the Workforce Program Coordinator on curriculum, supplies, and curriculum needs.
