Instructor I or II in Elementary Education at Mississippi State University on the Meridian Campus. The Division of Education invites applicants for a non-tenure track position in Elementary Education beginning Fall 2025.
Responsibilities- Primary responsibilities include teaching and advisement; supervision of field experience; and providing service and outreach.
Minimum Qualifications: Master1s degree in Elementary Education or a related field; two years of experience as an elementary/middle school teacher; and demonstration of potential for excellence in teaching.
- Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in Elementary Education or related field.
- More than 2 years of experience as an elementary/middle school teacher
- National Board Certification
- Experience with CAEP Accreditation
- Experience with online and hybrid teaching methodologies
- Knowledge: Expertise in the subject area and curriculum development; understanding of learning styles and effective teaching strategies; familiarity with instructional technology and assessment methods.
- Skills: Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills; proficiency in using learning management systems and digital tools.
- Abilities: Ability to foster a supportive learning environment; capacity to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students; commitment to continuous professional development and institutional service.
No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
