Assistant​/Associate Professor

MVSU Department of Social Work invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position. We seek a dynamic, student-centered, and collaborative faculty member committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service within a CSWE-accredited BSW / MSW program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in social work practice and to the mission of the Department and University; that is, preparing competent, ethical, and culturally responsive social work professionals.

• Teach across the social work curriculum, including generalist and advanced practice, HBSE, Social Policy, Theory, Research, Evaluation, Statistics, and in the area of Child Welfare.
• Advise students, participate in curriculum development, assessment, accreditation (CSWE), and program initiatives.
• Engage in departmental, university, and community partnerships.
• Engage in scholarly research and pursue external funding opportunities.

• MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program (or International Equivalent).
• At least two years post MSW practice experience.
• Evidence of effective teaching or training experience.
• Ability to teach across the Social Work Curriculum.
• Doctorate in Social Work or a related field (Ph.D. or DSW) by the time of appointment.
• Strong research and assessment background.

• Experience teaching across BSW and MSW programs.
• Evidence of scholarly potential, including publications or funded research.
• Experience with curriculum development and accreditation standards (CSWE).
• Demonstrate an enthusiastic interest in graduate education.
