Assistant Professor

Teach a minimum of twelve undergraduate hours in Health, Physical Education and Recreation or a minimum of nine graduate hours in Sports Administration; maintain timely and accurate class records; identify appropriate text for assigned classes; advise assigned students; post and maintain a minimum of ten office hours per week; assist with registration and other occasions; serve on department, college and university committees;

assist with recruitment and retention; participate in accreditation activities; maintain and revise syllabi as needed; participate in evaluation activities; non essential functions includes conducting research; seeking outside funding and representing the department at professional conferences and seminars.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of a Ph.D. in Health, Physical Education and Recreation or Sport Administration with at least five years of experience; good written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal skills as related to colleagues and students; ability and willingness to learn to integrate technology into teaching and other duties.
