Dryer Reliability Leader
The Dryer Reliability Leader will support the Leaf River Cellulose Mill’s reliability, efficiency, and production improvements through asset strategy, root cause analysis, outage scope management, asset health monitoring, and strategic investment. This role leads the Dryer department, supervises a team of reliability engineers, and ensures alignment with the company’s Principled Management (MBM®) philosophy.
Core Responsibilities- Lead and direct the area reliability team.
- Develop and mentor reliability engineers.
- Collaborate with the central mill reliability team on strategic initiatives.
- Work with the Area Leader to execute reliability improvement plans targeting known gaps.
- Apply PBM® Guiding Principles and Decision-making Framework in all projects.
- Support mill vision through reliable planning and execution.
- Develop and refine outage planning processes, define outage scope, and track outage workloads.
- Help shape the strategic investment portfolio based on performance gaps.
- Engage the team in support systems such as PHA, MOC, Trax, and incident reviews.
- Lead tactical RCA efforts on upset conditions and failures.
- Monitor, report, and score reliability performance to drive improvement.
- Experience in operations, maintenance, or reliability in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Prior role in a pulp or paper mill within engineering, planning, or a high-level operational department.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or a related field.
- Supervisory experience in industrial Ops, Maintenance, Reliability, or Engineering.
- Experience with utilities, re-calc, evaporators, or wastewater treatment.
- Project, process, or reliability engineering background.
