HANA Finance Public Cloud Architect

The SAP S/4

HANA Finance Public Cloud Architect is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and governance of finance processes in SAP S/4

HANA Public Cloud. This role ensures alignment with SAP Best Practices, minimizes customizations, and delivers a scalable, compliant, and future‑ready finance solution.

• Finance Solution Architecture – Own end‑to‑end architecture, define solution designs within Public Cloud constraints (no custom code, whitelisted extensibility), act as the Finance design authority across the program.
• Core Finance Processes – Lead and govern configuration of General Ledger (Universal Journal, Ledger setup, parallel accounting), Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting & Cash Management, Financial Closing & Reporting, Group Reporting (if applicable).
• Controlling & Integration – Design integration between Finance and Controlling (CO); configure Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Margin Analysis; ensure seamless integration with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales.
• Public Cloud Governance & Extensibility – Enforce SAP Best Practices and clean core principles; define and govern In‑App extensibility and Side‑by‑side extensibility (BTP); manage configuration via Central Business Configuration (CBC) and ensure upgrade‑safe solution design.
• Reporting & Analytics – Leverage Embedded Analytics and SAP Analytics Cloud for financial reporting; define KPI frameworks for Finance leadership; ensure consistency between operational and statutory reporting.
• Compliance & Controls – Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, SOX controls, audit and regulatory requirements; design document controls, approvals, and segregation of duties.
• Leadership & Collaboration – Partner with Finance leadership (CFO, Controller, FP&A), guide functional consultants and business analysts, work closely with Integration, Security, and Data teams.

• SAP Finance expertise, 10+ years of SAP Finance experience, 3+ years hands‑on experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA Public Cloud Finance.
• Deep expertise in Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and strong understanding of Public Cloud limitations and extensibility options.
• Central Business Configuration (CBC) proficiency; finance configuration in S/4
  
  HANA Public Cloud, integration with MM, SD, and Manufacturing.
• Embedded Analytics and Financial Reporting; SAP Activate methodology.
• Executive‑level communication, strong decision‑making in Fit‑to‑Standard scenarios, ability to challenge customization requests, mentorship and leadership skills.

• SAP S/4
  
  HANA Finance Public Cloud certification.
• Experience leading greenfield Public Cloud implementations.
• Industry experience in Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or Consumer Goods.
• Experience with SAP BTP and side‑by‑side extensions.
