Occupational Therapist

Position Details:

• Delegates authority to COTAs and Technicians.
• Evaluates and establishes treatment plans for patients referred to Occupational Therapy.
• Maintains competence in evaluation skills, therapeutic exercises, ADL training, cognitive skills, wheelchair transfers, splinting, and modalities as appropriate.
• Attends and provides continuing education and in-servicing.
• Serves as a mentor for new employees or volunteers.
• Serves as a clinical instructor after one year of experience.
• Completes documentation according to regulations in a timely manner.
• May be required to cover other rehab areas within scope and competencies.

Budget Responsibilities:

• Remains within monthly budget for equipment and supplies.
• Charges patients appropriately and promptly for treatments and equipment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state license.
• CPR certification.
• Competency in assessment and treatment across age groups where applicable.
