• Customer Service: Drive the FMS culture through values and customer service standards; provide outstanding service to all external and internal customers; develop and maintain effective relationships; take initiative to respond, resolve, and follow up on customer service issues in a timely manner.
• Patient Care: Assist other health care members in providing patient‑specific education regarding adequacy measures such as OLC, AMP, UKM, and disease processes; welcome assigned patients and assess well‑being; evaluate vascular access for patency; obtain and document pre‑ and post‑treatment vital signs and weight; perform vascular access evaluation, cannulation, and heparin administration; initiate dialysis treatment per orders; evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention;
  
  monitor and report unusual findings; discontinue treatment following established procedures; record vital signs and treatment parameters; ensure correct safety alarms; complete accurate documentation on treatment sheets and progress notes; conduct machine safety checks; perform interventions for unusual patient status; obtain laboratory tests and prepare specimens.
• Maintenance/Technical: Maintain environmental integrity and cleanliness; clean and disinfect dialysis machines, chairs, and surrounding areas; prepare for dialysis treatment; perform pre‑treatment alarm testing; initiate solution delivery systems; immediately clean blood spills; organize supplies to prevent wastage.
• Clerical & Administrative: Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities; enter treatment data into the clinical application accurately and timely; review treatment sheets for completeness; prepare initial patient charts; compile lab requisitions; label and store lab samples; ensure lab specimens are collected by the appropriate courier.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Home Program (if applicable): Assist home‑visit RN per supervision; reinforce PD/HHD education; schedule and contact patients; weigh and record vital signs; collect and review treatment records; clean and prep treatment rooms; prepare lab tubes and requisitions; conduct phlebotomy as permitted; perform home machine set‑up; assist with exit site care; warm or draw dialysate; manage patient reminders and supplies; maintain logs and inventories.

Employees are required to take the Ishihara Color Blindness test as a condition of employment; reasonable accommodations may be made. Day‑to‑day work includes desk work, personal computer use, patient interaction, and travel between facilities. The environment is a health‑care facility with controlled temperature and moderate noise. The position involves heavy lifting up to 40 lbs., frequent standing, bending, and occasional pushing or pulling of equipment.

• Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)‑approved state and/or national certification or high‑school diploma or GED, meeting certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure education and training (if any).

• Previous patient‑care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
• Successful completion of the FMCNA dialysis training program and CPR certification required for continued employment.
