Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Cabin keeper for the Postcard Cabin Homochitto in Meadville, MS.

Cleans and prepares cabins and public areas to meet established cleanliness standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and maximizing revenue. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve chosen the right place to stay.

• Thoroughly cleans assigned cabins (and cabin patios), including wiping and cleaning windows, doors, walls, closets, floors, bathrooms, appliances, and fixtures in cabins, public areas and hallways, often using ladders or stools to clean hard‑to‑reach areas.
• Washes shower walls and tubs, cleans toilets and stall walls if applicable, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls in order to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.
• Replaces linen, toiletries, and collateral in each cabin. Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas. Vacuums all carpeted areas.
• Inspects all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and immediately reports all room status and maintenance deficiencies, in writing, to the direct supervisor for prompt repair/resolution.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

• High School diploma / Secondary qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or other cleaning standards.
• Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Vision ability to see minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas, and to read written instructions and computer print‑outs.
• Upper body strength to lift up to 50 lbs. continually throughout an 8‑hour shift.
• Finger, hand and upper body dexterity to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout an 8‑hour shift.
• Ability to work with arms raised above head throughout an 8‑hour shift.
• Ability to maneuver a fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50 lbs., through hallways and into/out of closets during the entire workday.
• Basic residential cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaning equipment; commercial washers, dryers and pressers; ladder/stepping stool and cleaning cart.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals on a continual basis.
• Prolonged strenuous physical activity in an indoor, climate‑controlled environment, including excessive heat and humidity in the laundry area.

• Strong communication skills essential when interacting with guests and employees.
• Reading and writing abilities used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/information updates, etc.
• Problem‑solving, reasoning, motivating and training abilities often used.
• Ability to work a schedule including nights, weekends – to include Sundays and/or holidays. Weekly schedules are based on business demands.
