The HR Administrator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of Human Resources by maintaining accurate employee data, coordinating HR processes, and delivering responsive support to employees. This position ensures efficient execution of HR programs while building foundational knowledge and skills for future growth into an HR Generalist role.
Location:
This role will be based onsite at our Byhalia, MS manufacturing facility.
The HR Administrator will support HR team members on various projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
HR Administration & Data Management- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, files, and status changes in HR systems.
- Enter, update, and audit employee and applicant data within HRIS systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent).
- Process employment verifications for current and former employees.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity; identify and escape discrepancies.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and system readiness.
- Ensure completion and compliance of required documentation (e.g., I-9, policy acknowledgments).
- Support recruiting processes by scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and maintaining applicant tracking data.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, providing timely and professional responses.
- Escalate complex employee relations or policy‑related concerns to HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
- Provide administrative support for HR programs, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with benefit enrollment, eligibility tracking, and status changes.
- Respond to routine benefits inquiries and coordinate communications such as eligibility and status updates.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to benefits administration.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports using Excel (e.g., headcount, turnover, attendance, overtime trends).
- Compile and analyze basic HR metrics to support business and HR decision‑making.
- Maintain HR documentation to support compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Support internal and external audits by organizing and providing required documentation.
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee events, recognition programs, and engagement activities.
- Provide backup administrative support (e.g., reception or mailroom) as needed.
Adhere to all safety, security, and confidentiality policies and procedures. Scope of Role:
This role provides administrative and transactional HR support. It does not independently manage employee relations matters or policy interpretation but supports and escalates these activities to appropriate HR partners.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in HR, administrative support, or a related field preferred (internships or co‑op experience acceptable).
