Job Title:

Supply Chain Specialist Job Description

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will play a crucial role in tracking expedite shipments and managing the logistics of deliveries. You will ensure that urgent and unplanned shipments are efficiently received and delivered. This position involves analyzing inventory and parts purchased from suppliers, understanding their journey from suppliers to the plant, and optimizing the flow to the production lines. Your expertise in product flow, logistics, and inventory control will be essential to support the Production Control department's objectives of improving freight management processes and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Work on-site to provide prompt problem-solving and support to end customers.
  • Oversee daily operations of logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery and freight recovery.
  • Lead and manage utilizing FMDS, driving TBP, and integrating process improvements into the daily supply chain.
  • Conduct Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost kaizen activities driven by daily KPI management.
  • Set up timely expedite recovery for part recovery and returns management.
  • Process monthly cyclic billing for logistics providers.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
  • Project Management experience including schedule creation, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and executing deliverables.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and visualization skills for daily reporting.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and meet cyclical deadlines.

Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain planning or operations.
  • Experience managing operations within a supply chain environment.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office Products.
  • Inventory Management experience.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Process Improvement experience.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with suppliers.
  • Self-driven and team-oriented.
Work Environment

This role operates within an OEM Automobile Manufacturing environment featuring heavy robotics and autonomous vehicles. The facility is very clean with a strong focus on health and wellness, providing an extremely safe and efficient work setting. Benefits include 9 holidays, 80 hours of PTO, and 2 paid shutdowns during summer and Christmas. The workplace features an incredible cafeteria with established downtime for employees and rest areas for rejuvenation.

Flexible shifts and continuous standing in a manufacturing environment are expected.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Blue Springs, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
