Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Facilities Manager to support clients within the Shannon Region. The role plays a key part in strengthening our management capability, leading teams, shaping strategy, and maintaining operational excellence as we grow.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic hands‑on management of the technical components within client contracts, ensuring alignment with client expectations and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with peers to support the technical delivery across a wider range of client accounts.
  • Lead and support the ongoing development of technical services to maintain a leading position in the industry and respond to emerging trends and client needs.
  • Take full responsibility for day‑to‑day management, control, coordination, and execution of all operations under your remit, reporting directly to the General Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety issues, and manage audit action plans.
  • Manage contractual and statutory requirements, client satisfaction, and high‑quality service delivery.
  • Manage operational budgets, reporting, and vendor relationships, and negotiate service contracts.
  • Implement innovations to improve service delivery and provide technical advice and problem‑solving support.
  • Conduct regular site audits and maintain accurate site logs and documentation.
  • Develop and support direct reports, encouraging resilience and succession planning.
  • Manage a 24‑hour per day, 365‑day per year on‑call emergency service as required.
  • Ensure ordering, procurement compliance, and real‑time asset management across all sites.
Qualifications
  • Formal technical education or diploma equivalent qualification level, ideally in electrical or mechanical background.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in FM or building services maintenance in a position of authority.
  • Strong technical ability with understanding of building services and equipment.
  • Experience managing people.
  • Excellent time‑management, self‑motivational, and proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, and competent report writer.
  • Excellent computer literacy, particularly CAFM, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and latest IT applications.
