Position Summary
Fully plan maintenance tasks to be performed to maximize the efficient use of technicians. Develop and implement CMMS programs, reporting systems, PM schedules, and assist in maintenance scheduling. Provide support in these areas to production, maintenance, safety, and quality control.
PrincipalDuties & Responsibilities
- Maximize operating profit through planned maintenance where it is most effective (measured by the ratio of planned to total jobs per month).
- Manage maintenance data collection and information gathering by field verification, data entry, and analysis in the CMMS to enable more effective planning.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors to ensure planned jobs are scheduled appropriately.
- Lead plant shutdown meetings and coordinate departmental schedules.
- Lead AARs to determine root causes of late plant starts.
- Assist with contractor management planning (scopes, method statements, on-site safety reviews, etc.).
- Perform Job Plan audits.
- Scope and evaluate maintenance activities.
- Recommend to Maintenance Superintendent ways to better utilize personnel.
- Stage materials to ensure timely completion of maintenance jobs.
- Maintain an accurate database on equipment modifications and update records as changes occur.
- Generate and develop tracking reports for the PM system and total work order system.
- Maintain close contact with the storeroom and ensure parts are available for upcoming jobs.
- Work with the Reliability Engineer to maintain and develop the Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Programs in assigned areas.
- Develop work orders and improve information available to the craft person working on the job.
- Ensure all users are properly trained in the CMMS system.
- Coordinate maintenance plans with all affected departments to ensure needs are accommodated.
- Develop PM standard procedures for various situations and implement PM compliance standards.
- Assist with installation and upgrades of the CMMS software and maintain CMMS for planning, execution, backlog control and reporting.
- High School Education or GED required.
- 5-8 years of maintenance experience; skilled in a craft.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and apply mechanical reasoning.
- Knowledge of plant processing and equipment.
- Ability to use spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Familiar with CMMS systems.
Day shift position in the administrating, coordinating, and planning role. Must travel anywhere in the plant as needed. May work various hours as job requires and may travel to other J.M. Huber Mills.
