We are looking for an Electrician for our Taylorsville, MS plywood facility. We manufacture pine plywood panels and siding used in residential and light commercial construction.

Salary
  • Starting pay $31.02 per hour
  • $1.50/hr night shift differential

What You Will Do
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, electronic circuits, motor controls, relay logic, AC/DC drives, and low voltage switch gear.
  • Install and modify industrial electrical equipment.
  • Work with mechanical and electrical machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, performing preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Repair and maintain plant machinery in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Communicate work performed and equipment statuses both written and verbally.
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and actively participate in the safety program.
  • Wear the necessary personal protection equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel‑toe boots, or safety shoes as required.
  • Willingness to work any shift, on‑call, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of electrical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment OR a technical degree or higher in an electro‑mechanical curriculum.
  • Experience reading electrical and maintenance schematics/blueprints.
  • Experience diagnosing mechanical and electronic systems using scanning and diagnostic tools, multimeters, and computers.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, AC and DC motors, motor controllers, and drives.
  • Knowledge of single and three‑phase troubleshooting up to 480‑volt electrical systems.
  • Experience running rigid conduit.
  • Experience installing and terminating network cable.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues with PLCs, VFDs, servo motors, and valves.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks including climbing ladders and working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in a sawmill environment with dust, noise, heat, and cold conditions.
