Base Pay Range
$18.00/hr - $25.00/hr
Safety- Understanding and following all safety rules and procedures, no exceptions.
- Daily checking that all equipment within the process is in safe and good working conditions.
- Acknowledgement of unsafe behavior from others is to be addressed immediately.
- Lead by example (i.e. safety PPE, processes are followed, etc.)
- Team Member is expected to present themselves as a leader in all situations.
- Great communication with team and all departments, showing good character to others.
- Maintain good standing with points (8 per year)
- Should not be able to predict termination based on total points.
- Perform all requirements of assigned position.
- Babtec 1, Babtec 2, Lab, Incoming, Sort-Lead, Sort-ISO, Sort-Claims, Sort-Lift Driver, CMM Basic, Floor Lead
- Minimum three positions required at level 3.
- Weekly EASE Auditing
- Responsible for completing all weekly quality audits through the EASE program.
- Understanding of all related standards
- Standard procedure list will be provided to each quality tech.
- Maintain all requirements in Quality Tech 1
- Including all changes related to assigned areas.
- Minimum three positions required at level 4
- Positions are same as assigned in Quality – Tech 1.
- Minimum five positions required at level 3
- Total to include all positions.
- Maintain all requirements for Quality Tech – 1 & Quality Tech – 2
- Including all related to assigned areas.
- Minimum five positions at level 4
- Positions are same as assigned in levels 1 & 2.
- Ability to move shifts (short notice) as needed for up to 30 days.
- Level 3 on all positions.
- Perform testing on either all babtec 1 or babtec 2 machines at a 2-hour cycle.
- Inspections are performed under FP/LP/AC/SI inspections
- An inspection MUST be performed every 2 hours minimum for each machine.
- Can be specified to require inspection at more frequent time frame.
- Inspections performed at the machine as SI (Serial Inspections).
- Inspections performed at the babtec station are FP, LP, or AC inspections
- FP (First Piece) is performed when the assembly or CMM has delivered a first part of the production with a blank work order stamped with quality.
- LP (Last Piece) is performed when the part and work order has returned to the babtec area either by the assembly or CMM operator.
- AC (All Characteristics) is performed when an additional part is delivered for testing due to a change in the process. Also, AC is used on certain parts as a standard per the FP/LP procedure.
- Inform production of discrepancies immediately following the babtec work instruction(s).
- Verify all equipment in area used is in calibration date
- Inform laboratory tech if any items are out of calibration, damaged, or missing.
- All equipment must be working properly, stored properly, and tagged with calibration sticker.
- Perform all other related duties assigned by department manager.
- Authority – Requirement to speak up with all quality issues noticed. Babtec tech is not permitted to stop a machine from running but to notify the lead/supervisor. Failure from the production to address issue must result in babtec tech alerting the quality supervisor.
- Ability to perform incoming coil inspections to standard.
- Ability to perform incoming raw material to standard.
- Ability to perform Dock Audits to standard
- Including handling of certified shipments.
- Perform all other related duties assigned by department manager.
- Authority – Requirement to speak up with all quality issues noticed. Responsibility to stop a truck shipment if known defect is planned to ship but MUST alert supervisor immediately.
- Perform daily CMM measurement for stamping, assembly, trials, PPAPs
- Following a SMED like approachli>
- Maintaining of CMM fixtures
- Frequent cleaning of CMM fixtures after usage.
- Ensuring proper labeling of fixtures and shelves.
- Monthly fulfillment of full test reports on all parts.
- Managing of FP/LP measurements within production approval log.
- Performing of requalification short and full on stylus.
- Calypso basic training level 1.
